Samuel Schmucker (1879-1921) was an accomplished American artist known for his work during the Golden Age of postcards. He trained under Howard Pyle and created iconic postcards, including the "Schmucker Girl" for Detroit Publishing Company and the "Winsch Girl" for John Winsch Publishing Company. Though best known for his postcards, a mid-1990s discovery of 88 unseen watercolor paintings revealed the true extent of his artistic talent, delighting fans and admirers.
